Documentation for ProTrackWarehouse 2017.1.

The users of ProTrack Warehouse can be broadly classified into four types as shown, based on the roles and tasks performed by them:

User Role

Tasks

Employee

An Employee or Associate performs assignments in a warehouse. The performance of the assignment is tracked by the system based on the work standards set for the various individual tasks that comprises the assignment. Employees are defined in the system by a Supervisor or Manager and have a User Login and Password to access the ProTrack Warehouse system. They typically only have access to the Kiosk module to perform work assignments.

Supervisor

A Supervisor is also an employee defined in ProTrack Warehouse but has the responsibility of managing a set of employees. Supervisors are responsible for the performance and productivity of employees reporting to them. The security module of ProTrack Warehouse allows providing access to those functions of ProTrack Warehouse, which are required for monitoring performance of employees. Supervisors typically will have access, but not limited, to Operations, Employees and Reports menu

Manager

The role of a Manager is to monitor the functioning of the entire warehouse and all the operations therein. A manager will have a set of supervisors reporting to them and will typically have access to most of the functions of ProTrack Warehouse. This user can view reports at the employee level, department level or the facility level to monitor the progress of work and their performance. Managers can also be responsible for setting up the Work Standard in ProTrack Warehouse, defining the Facility Layout for travel calculations, defining Incentive and Discipline plans for the employees. Managers can also plan labor resources based on the expected or actual work on hand.

Administrator

The Administrator is responsible for the maintenance of the ProTrack Warehouse system ensuring that the application is functioning properly. This role has complete access to the system. An administrator can also be responsible for setting up the ProTrack Warehouse application, defining roles for users and providing appropriate access, scheduling background processes and purging of data in the system.
