Accessing the Labor Planning Screen


The options in the Labor Planning screen are dependent upon the user privileges.
To access the Labor Planning screen:

  1. Log in to ProTrack.
  2. Select the Labor Planning under the Analysis menu. The Labor Planning screen appears.

Labor Planning
Labor Planning screen helps you to setup a plan, view the progress of work for the plan setup and modify the plan.
The tabs in the Labor Planning screen are:

  • Plan Info - shows the type of plan selected, the employees that come under the plan and the source of data for labor planning process.
  • Plan Recap - shows all the segments that are configured and even the segments that are planned.
  • Employees - shows all the assigned and released employees.
  • Plan Progress - shows the progress of work in every planning level and also expected end time for the work.


Labor Planning Screen Sections:
Schedule Plan ('Plan Info' tab) - You should select a period between Start time of the earliest schedule in the shift and the End time of the latest schedule in the shift.
Plan Resource ('Plan Info' tab) - All the employees who are available for the selected plan are listed in the 'Plan Resource' section. They can also be marked absent for that plan.
Data Source ('Plan Info' tab) - You should select the data source.
The Data Source options for calculating standard work to plan labor are:
Historical data - The number or days between the From date and To date are used for calculating Standard Work.
Segment Settings ('Plan Recap' tab) - Segments that are configured in Labor Planning Configuration (this is covered in a separate manual covering configuration) screen can be planned in 'Segment Settings' section in Plan Recap tab, the planned segments have a priority and employees are first assigned to a plan segment with highest priority.
Progress Indicator ('Plan Progress' tab) - The progress of work in a particular plan segment can be viewed in 'Progress Indicator' section of Plan Progress tab.
Assigned Employees ('Employees' tab) - Employees assigned to a plan segment by the process depending on the work to be done and the work remaining in that plan segment are listed in this 'Assigned Employees' section of the Employees tab.
Released Employees ('Employees' tab) - Employees released from a plan segment or the employees yet to be assigned by the process depending on the work to be done and the work remaining in that plan segment are listed in this 'Released Employees' section of the Employees tab.
