"Schedules" are used in ProTrack Warehouse to define when an employee's work day starts and ends, and when he or she takes breaks and lunches. Schedules uses Schedule Types to automatically allocate time for these daily activities that are typically not captured or recorded by any other host systems (such as WMS). These scheduled activities may include:

  • Start of Shift
  • Breaks (1 or more)
  • Lunch
  • End of Shift

A single employee may work different times or different scheduled activities (Schedule Types) on different days - this day-to-day configuration is set up using a Schedule.

The Schedule screen allows creating, searching, viewing, and expiring schedules. A schedule consists of a group of configured schedule types with or without start time that can be assigned to multiple employees simultaneously. Available operations on this screen will vary depending on the user privileges.

  • If no schedule is assigned to an employee then the schedule assigned to the Facility will be used.
  • If employee's work day start is not configured then the first assignment of the employee's day is used to determine the start of the day

  • The term "Schedules" should not be confused with "Work Schedules". "Work Schedules" in ProTrack are date-specific instances of a specific employee's work day. ProTrack creates a unique Work Schedule for every employee on each day that they have assignments. An employee's configured Schedule for a particular day is used to build that day's Work Schedule.
