The End of Shift activity (also known as EOD) is applied using a topic called ADD_EOD. This topic is created at the time when the work schedule is created for the employee. The ADD_EOD topic will remain in queue (RFP status) till the time that is specified for the EOD has been reached. Once that time has been reached, ProTrack will try to apply the EOD to the employee's work schedule. There must be at least one worked assignment in COM status for the EOD activity to be applied. When the time specified for the End of Shift activity has been reached, ProTrack will attempt to apply the EOD. If there are no worked assignments in COM, ProTrack will try again in 3 hours. ProTrack will keep trying until the buffer end time plus the configurable IGN window has been reached. When this limit has been reached, ProTrack will move this ADD_EOD topic into IGN status and will no longer try to apply this EOD to the work schedule.
