Handling Time

Handling Time is the additional time taken to manually move a unit based on a given weight and volume. You can view, edit and save the values of weights, volumes and time using the Handling Time Maintenance screen.

The Handling Time Maintenance screen will help you to:

• Maintain a grid of time values for a set of weights and volumes
• Change the weight, volume, and time values

To access the Handling Time Maintenance screen:

1. Log in to ProTrack Warehouse.
2. Select Handling Time under the Configuration menu. The Handling Time Maintenance screen appears with the pre-set values of weight, volume and time in the system in a grid.

Adding A Handling Matrix

You can add values of time, weight and volume in the grid that appears in the Handling Time Maintenance screen.

To add handling time:

1. Enter Handling Matrix Name as this will be used when assigning to a specific Determinant.
2. Type the Weight, Volume and Time in the respective boxes for a particular unit.

   Info

   • The volumes and weights in ascending order in the first row and first column respectively. The time is entered in the box corresponding to the weight and volume. You can enter time only after the volume and weight are entered.
   • You can enter multiple values of time, weight and volume for different units. You can enter 100 values of Time for 10 different weights and 10 different volumes.
   
   
3. Click to save the changes.

Searching Handling Matrices

To search for a particular Handling Matrix:

1. Click and a popup window appears.

2. Type a search criteria, either Handling Matrix Name or Determinant Name.
3. Click and the results will be listed 'Search Results Handling Time Matrix' section.
   
   

   Tips

   • To list Matrices with names starting with a particular character, enter the character into the field. For example, to search matrices starting with the character 'C', enter 'C' in the Handling Matrix Name to list matrices with names starting with C.
   • If no search criteria are specified all the matrices will be listed in the 'Search Results Handling Time Matrix' section.
   
   

Viewing & Editing Handling Matrices

To view and edit a particular Handling Matrix:

1. Search for the handling matrix you want to view or edit.
2. Click on the link of the handling matrix. The details of the handling matrix appear in the corresponding fields in the Handling Time Maintenance screen.
3. To change the values of time, weight, or volume, then go to the respective box and change the values.
4. Click to save the changes.
