Discipline in ProTrack is used to track individuals' performance. The discipline plans evaluates the individual level performance, effectiveness, utilization, total performance, quality, safety, and attendance.

Accessing the Approve Discipline Screen

The Approve Discipline screen helps you to approve or deny the discipline step for individual employees, and confirm or over-ride the discipline level. The options in the Approve Discipline screen are available depending on the user privileges.

To access the Approve Discipline screen:

  1. Log in to ProTrack Warehouse.
  2. Select the Discipline under the Operations menu. The Approve Discipline screen appears with all the employees' status as Awaiting Approval.

    Employee Name

    First and last name of employee on discipline.

    Plan Name

    Displays the discipline plan the employee is assigned to.

    Step Level

    Displays the current discipline level for the employee.

    Review Period

    Displays the start and end days of which the discipline plan ran.

    Status

    Displays approve or disapprove of that discipline level.

    Approve

    Select the check box if the employee is approved.

    Disapprove

    Select the check box if the employee is disapproved.

    Reason Code

    Select a Reason Code for the disapproval from the list.

Search Employees


The employees can be searched for by providing the following search criteria in the Search Employee screen:

  • Last Name
  • First Name
  • Role
  • Supervisor
  • Facility
  • Department
  • Labor Union
  • Schedule

    To search for particular employees:
  1. Click in the Approve Discipline screen and the Search Employee screen appears.

  2. Type at least one of the criteria mentioned above (Last Name, First Name, Role, Supervisor, Facility, Department, Labor Union, or Schedule).

    Tip

    • To list the employees whose last name starts with a particular character, type the character in a specific field. For example, to search the employees with last name starting with the character 'M', enter 'M' in the Last Name field to list employees with last names beginning with an 'M'. You can apply this wild card character to any of the search criteria.

  3. Click in the Search Employee screen. The records matching the search criteria are listed in the 'Search Results' section of the Search Employee screen.

    Tip

    • If no search criteria are specified, all the employees are listed in the 'Search Results' section.

  4. Click and the selected employee list is displayed in the Approve Discipline screen.

View and Edit Employee


The employees can be viewed and edited from the Approve Discipline screen. If the status of the employee is Approve or Disapprove the fields are not available to edit.

To view and edit the approve discipline:

  1. Search and list the employee you want to view or edit in the 'Search Results' section by providing a search criteria.

    • The Approve Discipline screen by default shows all the employees with status as 'Awaiting Approval'.

  2. Select the Select check box of Individual employees listed in the Approve Discipline screen.

    Tip

    • If you click on the checkbox next to Select, it will check all employees listed on the screen.

  3. Check either check box in the Approve or Disapprove columns: "Approve" to approve the discipline step, or "Disapprove" to deny the discipline step for the specified review period.

    • If a record is to be disapproved, a "Reason Code" must be selected.

  4. Click and the selected and changed employee records are updated.

    Tip

    • If you have made the changes in the fields and do not want to save the details, click Reset before you save the changes.
